KAIIZA TATTOO 90 minutes from neuchâtel

I learnt to tattoo surrounded by people I knew. Many friends from Neuchâtel trusted me with their first projects during my six months of training. Close to one hundred tattoos later, that first circle had laid the foundations for word of mouth that still continues today.

FROM THE FIRST LINE to today's abstract visual language

That period taught me how to prepare the skin, place a design properly and repeat each gesture until it became reliable. Since January 2021, my work has taken a more personal direction: graphic and abstract compositions, bold lines and brushstrokes built with anatomy. Graphic design was already my first profession. Tattooing gave it a living surface.

There isn't much on offer at this level in tattooing. It's not a style you do just to do it: without genuine love for it, you stay away.

THE CONNECTION REMAINED so did the Neuchâtel clients

My studio is now in Villeneuve, but a significant part of my clientele still comes from the Neuchâtel region. Friends I tattooed at the beginning spoke about my work, then other people made the journey in turn. This local history matters, just like the pieces you can see in my gallery today. Word of mouth explains the first contact. The quality of the work then gives you something concrete to judge before deciding to travel.

THE STYLE HAS GROWN from my beginnings to a language of my own

These pieces belong to the work I develop today. You will see stricter lines drawn from graphic design, gestures inspired by painting and compositions that find their final form on the body.

NEUCHÂTEL, THEN VILLENEUVE plan the journey from our first conversation

The train currently takes around one and a half hours, most often with a change in Lausanne. The final three minutes are on foot from Villeneuve station. To reduce unnecessary journeys, the first conversation can begin by video call. You can also view the design at the studio a few days before the session if you need time to consider it. I do not send it remotely. In every case, we meet at the studio before I tattoo you.

FROM NEUCHÂTEL

does kaiiza still tattoo in neuchâtel?

I come from Neuchâtel and grew up there, but my studio is now in Villeneuve, canton of Vaud. Every appointment and tattoo session takes place at Amartato Studio, Grand-Rue 10.

why do so many clients come from the area?

During my six months of training, I tattooed many friends and acquaintances from Neuchâtel. Those first projects started local word of mouth that continued after I began working professionally. A significant part of my clientele still comes from the region.

how long does the train to villeneuve take?

Allow around one and a half hours at present, generally with a change in Lausanne. Timings vary with the departure you choose. In Villeneuve, the last three minutes to the studio are on foot.

do returning neuchâtel clients also use the form?

Yes. The project request form now centralises new requests whether we already know each other or not. You can describe the continuation you want, attach photos of the existing piece and share your availability.

can i limit the journeys before the session?

The first conversation can begin by video call. If you want to see the design beforehand, you can come to the studio two or three days before the session. I do not send it remotely, and we always meet in person before I tattoo you.
