CHF 150 the minimum price, design included

Every project starts at CHF 150, design included. The price varies with several factors, which you can read more about further down, and the range I give you is the total for your finished tattoo, deposit included.

The range a ceiling approved upfront

At the studio appointment, I'll give you a price range for the project we define together, say CHF 300-450. The top of the range is a ceiling you approve in advance. If the size, placement or details evolve before the tattoo session, we talk it through and adjust the price before we begin. Once the tattoo is under way, I no longer go past the quoted range. And if there is a surprise, it can only be a good one: a final price below the approved maximum.

What sets the price

First, the size, placement and style of your piece. Then its level of detail and complexity. And as a final adjustment, the actual tattooing time on the day. That's why I don't quote by the metre: two pieces of the same size don't ask for the same work. A large, clean black line, for instance, is faster to tattoo than to prepare: its value lies in the composition and the placement on your body, not in machine hours.

Deposit & payment session by session

When we set your first tattoo appointment, I take a CHF 100 deposit, or CHF 200 for large multi-session projects, like a full sleeve. It's deducted from the price, on the last session for longer projects. If you cancel, the deposit is kept; if you reschedule less than 48 hours ahead, a new one is needed.

Payment happens session by session, cash preferred: there's no card reader at the studio, and banks, the post office and ATMs are just around the corner. The deposit can go through TWINT (the Swiss mobile payment app). Coming from abroad? Payment is settled before the tattooing starts, purely a practical arrangement. how much does a tattoo cost?

The starting price is CHF 150 (Swiss francs), design included. Beyond that, it all depends on the size, placement and style of your piece, then its level of detail, and finally the actual tattooing time. That's why I don't quote by the metre: I give you a price range, at the appointment.

what is this "price range" about?

At the appointment, I give you a range, say CHF 300-450, for the project we define together. is the design charged separately?
