Preparing for a tattoo session arrive ready, not perfect

Good preparation is uncomplicated. Sleep, eat, hydrate and arrive with healthy skin: it gives your body and your artist better working conditions.

What should you do beforehand? prepare your skin and energy

Moisturise regularly, drink enough water and protect the area from sun. Avoid sunburn, harsh exfoliation and last-minute hair removal.

Sleep properly the night before. Alcohol and substances that alter your condition do not belong before a tattoo session.

What should you eat and bring? arrive fed and equipped

Eat a proper meal before you arrive, even for a small piece. Bring water and an easy snack for a longer session.

Headphones and something warm are useful too: the body can cool down while you stay still.

What should you wear? stay comfortable during the session

Wear loose clothes that expose the area easily and can survive a little ink. Bring an alternative garment if the placement calls for it.

Apply no cream, oil or fragrance to the site that day. If you are unwell or the skin is damaged, tell me before travelling.

On the day, come as you are — rested, fed and wearing something you can move in.
